A Waterman man suffered fatal injuries yesterday morning when the pick-up truck he was driving was struck by a train in DeKalb County.
Pronounced dead at the scene was 59-year old Dale Grometer.
The accident took place a short time after 8am. Grometer's truck was struck at the Crego Road railroad crossing by an east bound Burlington Northern Sante Fe train, just east of Waterman
The incident remains under investigation by the DeKalb County sheriff's police and Coroner's office.
