The 98th General Assembly in Illinois began earlier this week as there are a number of new faces in both the House and Senate.
Gredco Director Jason Anderson of Rochelle was in Springfield making contact with lawmakers about future projects in the Hub City. During this week's program "Let The People Know", Anderson talked about the importance of having a good relationship with area lawmakers. State grant money has been used for several local projects.
Anderson believes with current businesses expanding and new companies locating in Rochelle, the city could see between 500 to 700 new industrial jobs for 2013.
He also talked about the impact of the city's railroad in the future. It could bring in revenue that totals around 1 million dollars in the near future.
"Let The People Know" is heard on Wednesday afternoons at 12:30 on Newstalk 1060 and re-broadcast Saturday mornings at 6 on Newstalk 1060 and Sunday mornings at 6 on "The Coyote", 102.3FM.
