More than 160 people were ticketed for illegally parking in handicapped spaces over the holidays. Secretary of State Jesse White says officers conducted a sting from Black Friday, through the end of the year.
Sixty five people were parked in the spaces without a placard or special license plate. Another 92 were cited for using someone else's placard. White says he hopes people are finally starting to get the message, especially because fines for parking in the spaces have gone up.
