House Speaker Michael Madigan has switched his position and legislators could consider a new state pension compromise next week. Governor Pat Quinn and four legislative leaders will meet today in Chicago to discuss the proposal. Quinn is hopeful of getting a pension deal before the current General Assembly wraps up its work on Wednesday.
