Ogle County 9-1-1 Coordinator, Sandy Beitel, recently attended the Chief Executive Officer training seminar which was held in Virginia. The event took place at the national center for missing and exploited children.
Beitel received a special invitation to attend the seminar as she was 1 of 38 emergency personnel at the event. She has become 1 of more than 5,000 individuals who have completed this training in the United States.
The missing and exploited children seminar is designed to have a better understanding of the issue involving kids who have been sexually exploited or are missing.
Beitel mentioned that the seminar was 1 of the most valuable experiences for her in the 27 years as a law enforcement employee.
All travel and lodging expenses for Beitel during the training session were covered through a grant.
