Hononegah High School in Rockton was placed on lockdown yesterday after receiving 2 bomb threats.
No explosive devices were found in the building by police.
The incident may be related to the threats of violence predicted to take place at the school such as a mass shooting. The threats were made over the weekend and posted on Facebook.
Officials at Hononegah High School say that the students and staff were never in any danger yesterday, but they are taking the bomb threats very seriously.
The threats yesterday took place on a social networking site.
Yesterday's incident came after last Friday's tragedy in Connecticut in which a gunman killed 20 grade school students along with 6 staff members before taking his own life.
The 1st call yesterday came in about 3 as the person said he was inside the building. The 2nd call came in about an hour later.
After the building was search by police, students were released at 3:30.
