Teen back in court on cild abuse case

A Davis Junction teen was back in Ogle County Court Wednesday following an alleged child abuse incident which took place earlier this month.

19-year old Jonathon Early has been arrested on the felony offense of aggravated battery to a child and domestic battery.

The altercation took place on December 3rd in the Davis Junction area on Prairie Moon Drive. Early allegedly kicked and punched the 2-year old child at the residence. He also allegedly assaulted the child's mother.

The 2-year old was treated and released from Kishwaukee Community Hospital in DeKalb.

In court yesterday, probable cause was found in the case as Early plead not guilty to the charges. He returns to court on January 14th for a pre-trial conference.

Early remains in jail in lieu of a $150,000 bond.
