The first winter snow storm is scheduled to hit NorthernIllinois today with blizzard like conditions. 5 to 8 inches of snow is expected along with high winds.
Temperatures also expect to drop as the day goes on. Winds could reach up to 55 mile per hour this afternoon making driving difficult with the blowing snow.
