In area news, DeKalb County sheriff's police are investigating the death of a Waterman man who was struck by a train yesterday afternoon.
Pronounced dead at the scene was 35-year old Nigel Ortega.
The incident took place a short time after 3:30 at University and Johnson Roads in DeKalb County. Ortega was hit by a Union Pacific Railroad train.
