Unemployed in Illinois scheduled to lose benefits

Tens of thousands of unemployed people in Illinois will run out of benefits in a few weeks. Anyone who's been receiving benefits for more than 25 weeks will be cut off come January 1st. That's because the federal emergency unemployment program is ending. State officials say this is a good time for unemployed people in the state to solidify their job skills, update their resume, and browse job openings at IllinoisJobLink.com. More than 120-thousand job vacancies are listed on the site.
