U.S. Marshalls are again auctioning items belonging to former Dixon Comptroller Rita Crundwell who admitted stealing 53 million dollars from the city during a 20-year period. The items are from homes in Florida and Dixon.
The property from the Florida home will be online until 5 this evening. The items in Dixon can be purchased until 1 tomorrow afternoon.
The list of items being auctioned off include furniture, artwork, along with appliances and electronics.
Crundwell plead guilty in Federal Court to stealing more than 53 million dollars from the city of Dixon. The money was used to support her horse business and lavish lifestyle.
So far, the government has raised around 7.4 million dollars from the sale of Crundwell's horses, mobile home, vehicles, and other equipment.
She will be sentenced in February of next year on the federal offense.
