Davis Junction teen arrested in child abuse incident

Ogle County Sheriff's police have arrested a Davis Junction teen following an alleged child abuse incident Monday.

19-year old Jonathon Early has been charged with the felony offense of aggravated battery to a child along with domestic battery.

The altercation took place in the Davis Junction area. Early allegedly kicked and punched the 2-year old child at a residence on Prairie Moon Drive. He also allegedly assaulted the child's mother.

The 2-year old was treated and released from Kishwaukee Community Hospital in DeKalb.

Early appeared before an Ogle County judge for the 1st time yesterday afternoon as bond was set at $150,000. He was given an arraignment date of this Friday in Oregon.

Early also had a parole violation from the Department of Corrections as he remains in jail today.
