A plan to add five more casinos across the state could be put on hold. Governor Quinn says he doesn't think lawmakers should focus on passing a gaming bill until they get pension reform out the way. He says the pension payment is eating up resources for education and public safety. In fact, if things continue on the same path, the state will pay more for pensions than education by 2016. Quinn wants lawmakers to strike a deal and pass a reform plan by January 8th.
1 of the 5 casinos would be located in the city of Rockford.
