Rockford police continue to investigate the shooting death of a 17-year old boy during an armed robbery incident last Friday evening at a jewelry store.
Following an autopsy yesterday, Brandon Pierce died from multiple gunshot wounds. He was shot by an employee at Jewelry Concepts.
Police report that Pierce had enterred the business carrying an handgun. He apparently told workers at the store he was there to rob the business.
Police are releasing litte details on the shooting. The handgun was at the business which was used in the shooting. Pierce was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time.
