Residents in Rochelle have a new route to get to the RMU Water Reclamation Department Office and Lab for the electronics recycling program.
With the removal of the Treatment Plant Road Bridge, motorists should turn off Illinois 251 at Lakeview Drive. You should then turn left on South 9th Street and follow the signs to the RMU facility.
Motorists can also use Jack Dame Road and Avenue "F" to get to the office.
Since May of this year, the city has collected over 12,000 pounds of recyclables items.
