Rochelle police arrested 5 individuals yesterday afternoon following a gang fight in a parking lot. 1 person was treated for a cut to his head during the altercation.
The fight took place a short time before 1 in front of Taco Bell in the Rochelle Commons area.
Arrested on the felony offense of mob action were 21-year old Vincent Crum and 19-year old Jeremy Cargle, both from Rochelle, and 21-year old Michael Maise of Chicago.
Also arrested for aggravated assault, a misdemeanor offense, were 44-year old Leonard Cook and 23-year old Donnie Sexton, both from Rochelle.
Cook suffered the cut to his forehead and received treatment at Rochelle Community Hospital.
No weapons were found at the scene by police. Assisting in the arrest were the Ogle County Sheriff's police and Illinois State police.
Crum, Cargle, and Maise will appear before a judge in Oregon later today when bond will be set.
Rochelle police are also investigating a possible gang incident last night in which a 15-year old boy was struck in the arm with a baseball bat. He received treatment for his injury at Rochelle Community Hospital.
No arrest has been made from this incident at this time.
