More than 50 experts are ready to talk turkey. The Butterball Turkey Talk-Line is up and running to help you get ready for Thanksgiving dinner. Talk-Line supervisor Carol Miller says it's a good idea to buy your turkey and put it in the refrigerator instead of the freezer until Thanksgiving Day. She says thawing a whole bird requires one day in the refrigerator for every four pounds of turkey. For cooks in a hurry, Miller advises putting a frozen turkey in cold water with the breast side down and changing the water every half-hour to speed up thawing.
