Curl's murder trial is delayed in DeKalb County

The murder trial for a DeKalb man in connection with the killing of an NIU student in October of 2010 has been delayed because he needs hearing aids.

36-year old William "Billy" Curl has been charged with murder, concealing a homicidal death, arson, and criminal sexual assault in the killing of freshman Antinette "Toni" Keller of Plainfield.

The jury trial was scheduled to begin on December 3rd. Medical tests indicated that Curl needed hearing aids before the trial began. Attorneys from both sides have agreed that the jury trial will now begin with on January 14th in Sycamore.

Curl has been indicted on the charges from a Dekalb County grand jury. Keller's burned remains were found in a park in Dekalb. She was identified by DNA evidence.
