A Rochelle man plead not guilty in Ogle County Wednesday following a drug bust that took place in the Hub City on October 25th.
24-year old David Mack has been charged with the felony offense of unlawful possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver within 1,000 feet of a school, unlawful possession of marijuana with the intent to deliver, and unlawful possession of cannabis.
The arrest came about after police received word from local residents about possible drug dealings at 221 Avenue "C" in Rochelle. The home is near Lincoln School.
A co-defendent in the case is 30-year old Diane Dirickson of Rochelle.
Police seized over 200 grams of marijuana at the residence that was packaged to sell along with several digital scales and drug packaging material.
In court yesterday, Mack waived his Preliminary Hearing and requested at Jury Trial. He returns to court on December 10th for a Pre-Trial Conference.
Mack remains in jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
