Governor Quinn says now that the election is over, it's time for lawmakers to put politics aside and get busy on issues that matter most. He says pension reform and jobs are two of the biggest issues facing the state. Quinn wants lawmakers to tackle pension before January 9th, when the new general assembly will be sworn in. He promised to start a grassroots campaign for pension reform back in August when lawmakers failed to get the job done in special session but, that may not be necessary if they're planning to pass a reform package during veto or lame duck sessions.
