Several things could be on the docket, including whether lawmakers will try to restore funding to state prisons. Lawmakers included the cash in their original budget but Governor Quinn cut it, hoping lawmakers would reallocate the money to the Department of Children and Family Services. Quinn says lawmakers have to make tough cuts but they can't forget to prioritize services for kids, education, healthcare, and public safety.
