Several new retail businesses are expected to open in Rochelle in the near future.
A ground breaking ceremony is scheduled for next Wednesday for Lot 2 near Walmart. This is part of the Lighthouse Pointe project.
Rochelle Community Development Director Chris Limas mentioned last month that a building permit has been taken out for a 7 unit retail center located on Caron Road, west of the Walmart Building. Businesses that are planned to use the building include GNC, US Cellular, Great Clips, Radio Shack, and a dental facility. Construction is scheduled to begin this fall.
The official annoucement of the businesses will take place next Wednesday afternoon.
