Rochelle police continue to investigate 18 vehicle burglaries which took place Wednesday night or early Thursday morning in the Hub City.
Chief Eric Higby said that the majority of the break-ins occurred on the Northwest side of town. The vehicles were parked on 6th, 10th, 11th, 12th, and 14th streets along with Lincoln Avenue and Westview Drive.
Chief Higby said that most of the vehicles were left unlocked, but there was at least 1 car in which the window was broken to gain entry. Items stolen from the vehicles include money, tools. a ring, and GPS systems.
No arrests have been made at this time.
