A Rochelle man received a sentence Wednesday of 4 1/2 years in prison after he plead guilty to the Class 3 Felony offense of aggravated battery.
22-year old Rueben Burgess was arrested after a confrontation took place at a local bar in October of 2011.
Reports indicate that Burgess struck the male victim in the face with a serving dish of popcorn.
He also plead guilty in court yesterday to violating his probation.
Burgess has done time in prison after being convicted of aggravated battery and criminal damage to property.
