In a 7-0 vote, the Rochelle City Council approved an insurance plan and provider during a special meeting yesterday afternoon.
This is the 1st time in about 5 years the city went out for bids for insurance coverage. 3 proposals were being considered.
Are there any big changes or savings for the proposal approved yesterday? City Manager David Plyman said that the employees will see no changes in their coverage.
Plyman has concerns about a a possible big claim from an employee in the future that would have an impact on Rochelle's finances.
