The Ogle County Board will meet this evening at 5:30 as they hold a budget hearing dealing with the new fiscal year. The gathering will take place in the Oregon Courthouse.
Expenses in the general fund total around 12.8 million dollars which is higher than last year's figure at 12.7 million dollars. The budgets for the departments in Ogle County will be close to their figures a year ago.
The increases in the budget would include salaries and insurance costs.
No layoffs are expected from the new budget in any of the departments.
The Ogle County Board is expected to approve the new fiscal year budget during their meeting on November 20th.
The new fiscal year begins on December 1st.
