City Officials in Oregon received information this week that 87 trees located in the right-aways are infected with the Ash Borer insect.
Many of the trees are large and may have to be cut down in the future.
An official from the Illinois Department of Agriculture inspected the trees. He did not check any of the trees on private property that could also have Ash Borers.
No final decisions were made by the Oregon City Council on the future of the trees this week.
City officials will meet only 1 time in November. The meeting is scheduled for the 20th at 5:30.
Halloween Trick-OR-Treat hours next Wednesday in Oregon are from 5 until 8 in the evening.
