DeKalb man returns to court in the killing of an NIU student

A DeKalb man was back in court Tuesday in connection with the killing of an NIU student in October of 2010.

The attorneys for 36-year old William "Billy" Curl filed additional motions prior the the jury trial which is scheduled to begin on December 3rd in DeKalb County court in Sycamore.

Curl has been charged with 5 counts of 1st degree murder along with concealing a homicidal death, criminal sexual assault, and arson in the death of Antinette "Toni" Keller. He was indicted on the charges in January of 2011.

The motions yesterday involved the dismissal of the 1st degree murder charges along with testimony from a witness.

A hearing on the motions has been scheduled for November 13th.

Keller's burned body was found in a DeKalb park several days she was reported missing in 2010.
