In area news, Dekalb County Sheriff's police are investigating an accident early yesterday morning in which a passenger was thrown from a motorcycle and then left by the driver on the side of the road.
Reports indicate that the driver of the motorcycle missed the curve on Old State Road in rural Sycamore near Route 64. 54-year old Angela Threlkeld of Kingston was thrown from the vehicle and left at the scene.
She was transported by ambulance to Kishwaukee Community Hospital in DeKalb and later to a Rockford hospital for treatment of her injuries.
Sheriff's police are still trying to identify the driver of the motorcycle. They also believe alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
