A tentative agrement has been reached on a new 4-year contract between the Rochelle Elementary School District and the Teacher's Association.
The agreement was approved by both bargaining teams last Monday. The teacher's union, which has over 100 members, ratified the 4-year contract yesterday.
The school board is expected to approve the agreement when they gather in regular session Tuesday night.
Key issues during negotiations included money and benefits.
Negotiations began between both sides last May. The teachers were working under a 2 year contract that came to an end July 31st.
