Chicago is becoming a production hotspot. Four sitcoms filming in Chicago this year has generated 92-million dollars. Governor Pat Quinn says the film industry produced a record number of TV series this year, putting Illinois on the map as an attractive alternative to Hollywood. NBC's Chicago Fire, Fox's Mob Doctor, Starz' Boss, and MTV's Underemployed are among those filming in Chicago, plus a new comedy sitcom is expected to start shooting at the end of the month. The shows have created more than 12-hundred full-time jobs this year.
