The Rochelle Township High School Board approved a new fiscal year budget last night which was balanced in the 3 major funds.
Superintendent Jamie Craven said that revenue will total 14.2 million dollars while expenditures come in at 14.6 million dollars. The $390,000 deficit deals with the construction of Hub Drive this summer.
The 3 major funds that are balanced include education, transportation, and building.
Craven said that they did not have to cut any members of the staff or programs with the new budget.
The board heard an update report last night involving the KEC program at Kishwaukee Community College in Malta. 108 students are involved in the program at RTHS.
The bike path easement issue was tabled for a future meeting. It deals with extending the path to 20th street in the future.
