Bond remains at $250,000 for a Rochelle man after he was arrested in connection with a robbery at a restaurant in the Hub City last weekend.
30-year old Michael Vera has been charged with the Class 1 felony offense of aggravated robbery.
Vera allegedly entered the El Sol Restaurant at 509 4th Avenue and presented a note to the cashier demanding money. He implied that he had a gun, but no weapon was seen.
No one suffered any injuries in the restaurant during the robbery.
Around $200 was taken from the cash register
Vera also faces charges following a fight which occurred Sunday in Rochelle.
In court Friday during his arraignment, Vera was given a preliminary hearing date of September 12th in Oregon. At that time, he will plead guilty or innocent to the felony offense.
