Illinois home sales are making a major leap forward in a move which some believe is a signal the state's real estate market is coming back. According to data released by the state's Association of Realtors yesterday sales of homes statewide surged by more than 25-percent over the previous year. Including single-family homes and condos Illinois home sales rose 25-point-five-percent compared with last July. That tally is the single-best performance since 2007. Meanwhile, the median price of homes in Illinois did fall somewhat, down one-point-seven-percent during July.
