Ogle County Sheriff's Police responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident with injuries last Saturday night at about 8:30 at the intersection of Main Street and Center Street in Baileyville. After investigation it was determined that a vehicle driven by Pamela Monroe, age 67, of Chula Vista, California, was traveling south on Main Street when she struck another vehicle driven by Nicholas Bons, age 34 of Durand. The Bons vehicle was traveling west on Center street at the intersection. Monroe was later issued a citation for failure to yield at an intersection. Nicholas Bons was transported to Freeport Memorial Hospital witn non-life threatening injuries. Foreston EMS and the Forreston Fire Department assisted in the accident.
