The U.S. Marshalls Service has set auction dates for property owned by former Dixon Comptroller Rita Crundwell.
The list includes more than 400 horses along with her farm and 4 other properties. Earlier this week, the U.S. Marshalls Service rejected the lone bid for Crundwell's motor home which was under 1 million dollars.
The vehicle had a suggested retail value of 2.1 million dollars.
The 59-year old Crundwell was arrested last April on a federal wire fraud charge. She allegedly misappropriated more than 53 million dollars of Dixon city funds during a 20-year old scam.
The live auction will take place on September 23rd and 24th at Crundwell's 80-acre farm on Red Brick Road in Dixon.
The Auction on-line will be held on September 11th and 12th.
The proceeds from the auction, after expenses, will be held in an escrow account until the case is settled in court. That money would be given back to the city of Dixon if Crundwell is convicted.
