Governor Quinn is looking to ban assault weapons and large capacity ammunition magazines to keep people safe. He changed a bill yesterday that would’ve allowed licensed gun owners to mail-order ammunition purchases from in-state licensed firearm dealers. The bill now goes back to the legislature to be voted on but some lawmakers don't plan on supporting it. Senator Dave Luechtefeld and Representative Brandon Phelps both say Quinn's move is a slap in the face to law abiding gun owners and call it a media stunt.
