Area residents continue their clean-up today following a thunderstorm that traveled through Northern Illinois Saturday afternoon which brought high winds and some heavy rain.
Winds reached over 50 miles per hour with the storm along with penny size hail. There were no reports of any injuries or funnel clouds.
Several limbs and electrical power lines were on the ground in Rochelle. The Rochelle Fire Department responded to wires that were arcing at 9th Street and 4th Avenue due to the storm.
The majority of electrical power has been restored for the area this morning.
Many tree limbs remain on the ground today as people clean-up their yard.
