Thousands of people will likely end up in emergency rooms across the nation today with fireworks related injuries. Doctors say fireworks can be very dangerous if proper precautions aren't taken. Doctor Jason Kegg, with the SIU School of Medicine in Springfield, says burns are the most common injuries but sometimes people lose a finger or other limb. Being cautious and following safety rules when using and watching fireworks can cut back on injuries.
