Rochelle police arrested 2 local teens last night on drug charges following a traffic stop.
The vehicle was originally stopped when police knew there were too many passengers in a car driven by a teen. The driver, a 17-year old girl from Chana, was ticketed for the offense.
2 passengers in the vehicle were also arrested. A 17-year old boy from Rochelle was charged with delivery of cannabis, unlawful possession of marijuana, along with possession of drug paraphernalia and alcohol as a minor.
The officer seized 4 bags of cannabis that had a seal in the car.
A 2nd teen, a 17-year old boy from Rochelle, was also arrested on the charge of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
2 pipes were seized during the arrest used to smoke marijuana.
The teens will appear in court on the charges on August 10th in Rochelle. Everyone was released on Individual Bonds.
