After further investigation, Ogle County Sheriff's Police have arrested a Rockford man on alcohol charges following a motorcycle crash last weekend in rural Byron.
63-year old David King has been charged with DUI and following to closely.
The accident occurred on Saturday in the 7,000 block of North River Road in Ogle County. King was traveling north bound on River Road when he attempted to avoid hitting a car in front of him. The vehicle was turning into a private drive.
Sheriff's police say that King layed his motorcycle down on it's side in an attempt to stop. He was transported by ambulance to a Rockford Hospital with serious injuries.
The accident remains under investigation by sheriff's police.
