A Rockford man suffered serious injuries Saturday when he crashed his motorcycle in rural Byron.
Reports indicate that 63-year old David King was traveling north bound in the 7,000 block of River Road when he attempted to avoid hitting a vehicle he was following.
Sheriff's police say that the car was turning into a private drive when King layed his motorcycle on it's side in an attempt to stop.
He was transported by ambulance to a Rockford hospital with series injuries. The accident remains under investigation by Ogle County Sheriff's Police.
