78 prisoners from the Dixon Correctional Center were moved Saturday after damage was done to the facility from Friday's storm.
The inmates were transported to the Pontiac Correctional Center.
The Dixon Correctional Center was on lockdown Saturday as workers fixed damaged done to roofs and restore power to the facility. 78 hundred customers of Com-Ed in Ogle and Lee Counties lost electrical power from the storm.
Back-up generators were being used at the prison.
There is no word at this time by the Department of Corrections on when the prisoners will be returned to the Dixon facility.
