A Rochelle man, who was sentenced to 30 years in prison last week following a shooting in the Hub City, was back in Ogle County court Wednesday for his drug case.
29-year old Charles Chamness has been charged with 2 counts of the felony offense of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, cocaine.
The arrest took place during a traffic stop. Rochelle Police seized 32.5 grams of the cocaine in February of 2011.
The car Chamness was driving was originally stopped for having no rear registration light.
He is scheduled to return to court on August 29th for a motion to supress hearing involving evidence in the
case.
