The Rochelle Township High School board approved a proposal last night dealing with a wireless building in the future.
The 5-year agreement will cost the district just over $113,000.
The board heard a presentation from Assistant Principal Rich Harvey dealing with students in the past 5 years in the district. The attendance rate has gone up by nearly 2 percent at 95.3 percent while the dropout rate has declined by nearly 2 percent. The graduation rate has also increased by over 3 percent at 83.5 percent.
Total suspensions were also down by more than 11 hundred compared to figures 5 years ago.
School officials have also decided to hire a 2nd Assistant Principal for the next school year instead of a Curriculum Director. Jason Harper was named to the position. He had been a teacher in special education.
The final bid for Hub Drive was approved last night at $86,450.
The board met in executive session to talk about personnel and the teacher's contract. No action was taken.
