City Officials in Rochelle hope sales tax revenue show an increase in the 2nd Quarter of the year compared to the 1st 3 months of 2012.
During yesterday's program "Let The People Know", Mayor Chet Olson said that sales tax revenue was down for the 1st Quarter of the year compared to numbers in 2011. The key month was February.
Olson did say that sales tax revenue was up in 7 of the past 9 months for the city compared to numbers the prior year.
The mayor also stressed that people still need to shop locally for their purchases.
"Let The People Know" is heard on Wednesday afternoons at 12:30 on Newstalk 1060 and re-broadcast Saturday mornings at 6 on Newstalk 1060 and Sunday mornings at 7 in "SAM", 102.3FM.
