A Belvidere man suffered serious injuries yesterday morning in Ogle County when the motorcycle he was riding struck a deer.
Reports indicate that 57-year old Edward Elvin was riding his motorcycle in the 500 block of West Townline road when he struck the animal.
Elvin was transported by Life Line Helicopter from the scene to a Rockford hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Fire departments from Byron and Leaf River were also on the scene.
The accident took place a short time before 10:30 yesterday morning.
