The state unemployment rate dropped slightly last month. Illinois hit its lowest jobless rate in eleven-years in March, coming in at four-point-six-percent.
State employment spokesman Bob Goff says some areas saw job growth including financial services, manufacturing and construction. Overall, the state lost about 21-hundred jobs last month.
