Florida's Parkland community is getting some special comfort to help adults and children cope with the tragedy of the Valentine's Day school shooting. The "K-9 Comfort Dog Ministry" arrived this week to begin making rounds on behalf of Illinois' Lutheran Church Charities.
The golden retrievers have a busy schedule as they stop by churches, hospitals and the 17 crosses outside of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. The dogs and their trainers have stopped at a dozen Broward County schools over the past couple of days with all those wagging tails leaving smiles on many young faces.
