Voters in some Illinois counties may have to wait a tiny bit longer to cast an early ballot for the March primary. Early voting was supposed to start tomorrow statewide, but election authorities are waiting for a court to decide if Democratic candidate for attorney general Scott Drury will make the March ballot. Ballots cannot be printed without state certification of the candidates.
In Ogle County, Clerk Laura Cook said that if you are a Republican, you can vote early on Thursday. If you want a Democratic ballot, you can come back another day or have it mailed to your home.
Cook said that area residents should check with their county clerk's office if they want to vote early prior to the March 20th Primary Election.
